guys seriously… I just lost some cash into trading bitcoin… and I am not happy with the results… I most add that I am a newbie… and that it is clear that the interface for trading and holding coins suck nails!… excuses have been made to justify the lack of advanced interfaces… but these seem to skip the fact that this currency is generating huge profits and that it is being used by some of the wealthiest in the world!!… so the excuses are NOT justifying the lack of advanced interfaces… to me,… all related to bitcoin should be way more advanced that what it currently is… in fact to me it seems like the bitcoin is a way to gain a ton of private data out… this private data, includes the wealth of the users… address, phones, relation to other people in the world and so on… to me the current system spy's on its users… and also steals from them…. misleads them… in general I would not! recommend the cripto currencies… stay away from them if you intend to keep your private life private…

Clever ending to the show. Best to use the slowest, softest sell possible with friends and family I find. Planting small seeds in their minds over time. Working it into current events topics, or spontaneous economic discussions. ( yes my friends and family = ~80% nerds. I am blessed.) I can tell somethings growing when they surprise me with the occasional random crypto-currency question; but even then, I try to only give them short, teaser answers. If they really wanna know, they will ask follow up questions or study on their own. A couple cousins of mine saw the appeal and were super into it right away, the exceptions to the rule.
Watching the shifting roles bitcoin takes as it slowly seeps in to the mainstream has got to be one of the most fascinating aspects of this grand experiment. Thanks for another episode, gentlemen.

The 90's episode, which was actually about 15 minutes, not the entire episode, might seem weird but it is integral and reveals more how Elliott's mind works and how he deals with stressful situations to painful to accept by employing coping mechanisms like this. Re-watch the episodes from when he suddenly went back to stay with his mom and you'll probably notice a lot of stuff you missed. Spoiler: He didn't move back in with his mom.

You are thinking about one of the worst inclusion of Bitcoin ever. The time they included it as part of the plot of a CSI: Cyber episode. Horrible. Even worse than the Criminal Minds episode Tone was talking about. Then you are thinking about The Blacklist which I only watched the first season of because the show became unwatchable for me quickly into the second season.

I liked that StartUp is straight up an Altcoin show. There is one thing you got outdated info. Shows now do get developed within a year time if they are new IP's. The only time it takes years is when it is an adaptation of something from a different medium.
I also heavily dislike many things about Mr. Robot. If I was not curious about what exactly is their end game with the show. I would probably would stop watching it.

Personally, I think the very best inclusion of Bitcoin in a TV show has been Almost Human. But in a movie? No doubt Dope has probably the best one by default so far.
Now, Mr. Robot is quite annoying to me too because you can clearly see the threads from what it was constructed from and the thinking in their development of it. They rip off Fight Club, they rip off some stuff from Pi, some stuff from Occupy Walt Street and literally remake Anonymous. They even put in that the mask came from a movie adaptation of a book called The Massacre Of The Bourgeoisie I think it is called in the show. Which hilariously it is like a late 90's or early 2000's indie horror movie or something.
One point I absolutely hated about season one was that he of all people didn't seemed to be aware of dark markets and didn't acquired his drugs that way. Specially given what he was addicted to and his personality. Made no sense. I do consider it a serious character development error. Worse how they "sort of" explain in season 2. But anyway. that's that.
On what movie I would remake with a Bitcoin Twist? No doubt Hackers.
