so bitcoin , does it give you the freedom it claims ? I don't get paid in bitcoin so I have to use my fiat money to buy a bitcoin , then I can spend the bitcoin . what happens once I have spent the bitcoin ? I have to get more fiat money to buy more bitcoin, so how is this getting me off the fiat money system ? I still need a bank account and fiat money . it claims you have anonymity , is that true ? I don't think it is , when you buy anything you are leave a trace of a transaction and we all know the NSA can see it . bitcoin is no different to the fiat money , nothing tangible is backing it and it's just another Ponzi scheme .

And surely there are enough intelligent people around to provide electricity and other things.. Go to an amish community, you will be surprised! Not a big fan of this video, but going to point out the obvious logical fallacy:
Privileged people have time to be interested in things that are not immediately relevant. This says nothing of the worthiness and usefulness of these efforts for everyone else in the future.
Microcomputers were a priviliged interest at one point, but it would be silly to say they haven't been democratized. (ie. cell phones helping developing countries leapfrog communication infrastucture hurdles, etc.).

Bitcoin? Really? The virtual invisible intangible "currency" system subject to electronic failure, whereas, all your money will be gone with a simple electrical outage or a hacker? Wow people, in your excitement of something new, you totally miss the enormous risk involved with a virtual currency. Gold and Silver was real money, then they switched us to paper receipts, we accepted, then they switched us to plastic credit cards, we accepted, and now you readily accept a currency that is totally VIRTUAL. Well, Virtual money can only mean Virtual value and safety… good luck with your virtual profits, all you virtual entrepreneurs! :)

1. there are many not white and not male people in this video. And a lot of bitcoin innovation comes from South America, Asia, Israel…fyi
2. if you're a minority, do something and get involved in this innovative technology. That's how you make a difference; not by posting comments on yt.

I'm worried about scalability. What happens when the blockchain becomes too big to be stored on a regular computer? Won't then data warehouses rise, and won't then the threat of centralization via super computers be a worry?

I'll be the first to admit I am not an expert on Bitcoin. However, I am aware of some flaws to which I have been told are being worked on. My biggest thing is Kill Switch, if the governments of the world decide the Internet needs to be shutdown for any reason they come up with (all arbitrary and bullshit as we all know) how can Bitcoin continue to be used?
