Craig Wright, aka Satoshi Nakamoto/Mr Bitcoin

Australian entrepreneur Craig Wright has publicly identified himself as Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto, or Mr Bitcoin. His admission ends years of speculation about who came up with the original ideas underlying the digital cash system. Mr Wright has provided technical proof to back up his claim using coins known to be owned by Bitcoin’s creator. Prominent members of the Bitcoin community and its core development team have also confirmed Mr Wright’s claim.

  2. TURING not TOURING you fucking british twats. The Best British genius your shithole of a country ever produced and you get it wrong, again! Get a computer guy to double check your asshat incompetent journalists next time.

  3. I live in Bali Indonesia so don't expect that you'll be able to find me or disturb me about this issue; this guy is a phony and I'm not going to be interviewed, I'm not going to accept money for an interview, and I'm not going to be disturbed so don't fucking bother me.

  4. Satoshi means: wise and clear thinker. That's why I chose the the name Satoshi. I've always been fascinated with Japanese culture, and I have read numerous books on the cultural history of Japan. One book in particular the "Cambridge History of Japan Volume 4" On page 594-627 this outlines the reason for Bitcoin and choosing a name Satoshi Nakamoto… an obscure publication "Jottings Of An Old Man" has in it certain cryptic messages that have significance to the design and concept of Bitcoin. I'm sure that no one will ever find this information since all my original ciphers have been destroyed. This guy is a phony. I hate being pushed out by fakers. the Publications and so should prove that I am Satoshi Nakamoto because giving reference to them clarifies the meaning of the name and their reason for making Bitcoin. If you're not a historian who is well-versed in Japanese culture and ideology then you will not understand the significance of my references and how they relate to bitcoin. if you wanted to know if I'm full of shit or not review the material it will prove that I am indeed who I claim to be.

  5. Nothing of substance in this video, vague utterances, no proof, I call 100% bullshit.

  8. Every time he asked him are you Satoshi, he paused and stared into the distance making no eye contact.

  9. BBC is no longer a creditable news source… Also the network screwed up Top Gear forever…

  10. Anyone with half a brain would avoid disclosing all the BTC holdings, hell you could put 10 million BTC on one paper wallet, nobody needs to know of it. No….. dufus and his team tell the "authorities" all about it. My advice, keep your trap shut!

  11. I can see the lies on his eyes i swaer from the first time i saw him i knew he wasnt and he was just liing the way he talks

  12. First, I agree with the large number or commentators. He craves anonymity and he's on international TV. Laughable.
Second, he dodged the question of how many Bitcoins he owns. My understanding is that 50 percent of Bitcoins are owned by 20 or so people. Well, that's a rumour I heard; take it for what that's worth. That being the case the person who invented Bitcoin could conceivably own 20 or so percent of them. So you could say that the people who "believe" in Bitcoin have a right to know what his intentions are. Could he dump them on the market and cause even more fluctuation than already exists? Obviously one of the main criticisms of Bitcoin are it's wild price fluctuations.
Thirdly, the real inventor would probably have incontrovertible proof he wrote the code. Just like anything that long and complex that is written. J.K. Rowling has incontrovertible proof she wrote Harry Potter.
If I was forced to place an Australian bet on whether this guy was on the level or not. I would wager that he's full of it. But of course, I could be wrong.

  13. They already exposed this fraud, just another stupid scammer. Which is funny, cause most people already knew it was fake. The dead give away to me was how he kept contradicting himself while attempting to spin every question, even the simple ones lol.
