"Most Americans will only take money that they can hold in their hand." If that was true, then we wouldn't be able to spend virtual money like credit and debit cards at every single retail location in the county. For all the employees paid by direct deposit, where is the money they hold in their hand? They call it dollars, but a checking account is nothing more than a number in a computer that acts as a virtual wallet. The number gets bigger when the employer makes a virtual deposit, and the number gets smaller when the employee buys something with a virtual withdrawal. The main difference between that money and Bitcoin is that Bitcoin has gone from nothing to $240 in 6 years, while the dollar is almost guaranteed to lose value constantly for the rest of our lives.

These reporters don't know, AND they don't know that they don't know, AND they don't care that they don't know that they don't know! Pathetic.
LOL. Those Bitcoiners're "up to no good". Nice!
"There's no bank or government involvement… in other words, there's no consumer protections." Wow such nonsense. The Bitcoin industry has created consumer protections that the banking institutions didn't come up with in a hundred years. Things like multisig, proof-of-reserves, and a fully-transparent blockchain that can't be tampered with. Meanwhile, banks and governments print money and steal value from people through inflation every day, and public-school educated reporters parrot the propaganda of the State. Bitcoin exists to stop this madness.
Ignorant reporter
The overwhelming majority of crime is done via central bank issued currency. Drug dealers surely use the USD more than any other currency. Getting paid in Bitcoin…makes so called "hodlers" look like the light weights they are. A salary in Bitcoin!
